Britain’s second largest city is sometimes thought of as an industrial centre with little to offer the visitor. While it is a city not viewed of obvious charm, however, the city is rapidly regenerating.
The city itself does present with the largest canal network across Europe and areas like the Gas Street basin are preserved as a reminder of the days when the city depended on them for transporting goods.
